This shelf was very easy to put together. I thought it was cute online, but its even cuter in person! There is texture to illustrations on the shelf.. its really well made. i bought it for my 7 month old daughter's nursery. i was VERY happy to see there are hooks so i can mount it to the wall!

The bookcase was very beautiful with rich colors. It was easy to assemble. I would have given it 5 stars, but a flaw with the bottom drawer not flush in the back, kept it from being "perfect". I wished I had purchased the entire collection for the nursery.

This bookshelf is really cute and colorful, just as it looks online. However, whether it was from the manufacturing of it or the packing and shipping of it, it arrived in less than new condition. The green paint on the inside of the side of the shelf was chipped in one spot. The pink paint on the shelves was shipped off on the outside edges. This was disappointing. Buying something big like this online makes it more of a hassle to try to return it. We figured trying to return it for a new one would likely result in the same problems, so why bother.

Cuter than I had imagined. Perfect size for a toddle or young child. Easy to put together - I did it by myself and I am a 56 year old Nana. My granddaugher LOVES this collection - I have the toy chest, bookcase and potty chair in the Magic Garden collection. My 14 mth old granddaughter surprised me at how excited she was when she saw it for the first time - she ran to it and wouldn't pulling books from the bookcase while sitting in her rocking chair. I keep this collection at my home and my daughter has the Princess collection at her home. Love every piece in both collections.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The bookcase is made attractive with bright colors, but shelf edges were missing pink paint. I had to turn a few pieces around during the assembly to hide whatever edges I could. Pink paint was actually on the cardboard box it came in. It appeared that it was wet when boxed by the manufacturer. I would have returned it but I needed it for a gift right away.
