I use it in my hallway as both a storage chest and a bench. While it's a bit wide, I find it attractive and useful. I am currently storing bird seed in there.
Prior to purchase I had read comments that it was difficult to assemble but did not find this to be the case. I build a lot of things and this was an easy assemble that I put together by myself in a relatively short period of time.

The pros are that the item was easy to put together though it did require two people. The directions were clear and the tools & hardware supplied were useful to put the item together. The cons were that the item was not as sturdy as the photograph implied and the pre-attached hinge on the lid was not flush resulting in a misalignment which caused the lid to shift to one side. This resulted in zero clearance on the other side, causing a gouge to the side panel. This marred the appearance of the item, which was a given as a gift.

ordered cherry colored toy chest for grandson's 2nd birthday. Matched bedroom furniture perfectly. Easy to put together. Grandson actually enjoys picking up his toys & placing them into toybox! Wish personalization was offered for toybox, but will purchase stick-on lettering to make it special. Was reasonably priced with free shipping to another state. Would order from again for future grandkids.

This made the perfect gift for our grand daughter's first birthday. She can keep busy putting her toys and stuffed animals in and out of the toy box. Her parents have the added opportunity of keeping everything in its place, putting an end to clutter.

I bought this for my six year old Grandson. Now my Granddaughter wants the same one in white for her room.
I looked at toy chest in the brick and mortar stores and found the quality was poor. This product, however, seems far superior.
